Anonymous Greece - The End of Fear

For too long we have been silent as our liberties and welfare are sold away.
We can no longer afford to ignore the atrocities in Greece, for after Greece no single country will be left unharmed by the greed of the banking cartels and their corrupted pet governments.

The time has come for us to choose how our children and generations to come will remember us. We come before you with a heavy weight upon our hearts and plead to your conscious, to do what you know to be morally, ethically, humanly and consciously right. Let us be united as one never divided against this malaise which plagues our society.

The Greek unelected government is about to vote for the 2nd package of austerity measures - further 22% cuts in the already low wages and pensions while poverty, unemployment and homelessness are rising to unforeseen numbers. Since Friday Greek unions are on strike and on Sunday there is a planned demonstration against the government.

The Greek people are fighting for decent working conditions and to win back their future. This is not only a Greek peoples' struggle, rather a struggle of all European workers. We invite everyone to your local square to raise our voice against our governments.

Anonymous hacks Greek Ministry of Justice / Message To Greece

Anonymous has hacked the Greek Ministry of Justice website (cached version) in an apparent protest against the signing of the controversial ACTA treaty by the Greek government, warning authorities that it will take down over 300 media and ministry sites if it doesn’t reverse its course.

The site is currently “Under Construction” following the attack but was amended to display a message from the online collective, stating that its next target would be “all the media in Greece” and that it had the admin passwords of most media websites in the country.

Its message in full:

We know EVERYTHING, We have your PASSWORDS, We are watching YOU.
NEXT TARGET WILL BE ALL THE MEDIA IN GREECE. ( ertTV , etc )
WE HAVE MOST OF THE MEDIA WEBSITES ADMIN PASSWORDS.
We are Legion . This is JUST the BEGINING.

You have 2 weeks to stop ACTA in Greece otherwhise we will do CYBERWARFARE by defacing 300 sites and all the media and ministries.

Greek police have confirmed the incident, updating its Twitter account with a message that its Cyber-crime division’s investigation on the Ministry of Justice attack is already in progress.

Whilst Anonymous attacks Greece’s signing of the ACTA treaty, it also states in an official video that a decision to join the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will “introduce a new dictatorship upon your people’s shoulders and allowed the bankers and the monarchs of the EU to enslave them both economically and politically.”

The country is currently facing a huge debt crisis and is in talks to accept rescue deals to help the government restructure its finances.


What is going on in your country is unacceptable. You were chosen by your people to act on behalf of them and express their wishes, but you have derogatorily failed.

You have killed the most sacred element your country had and that is democracy. Democracy was given birth in your country but you have now killed it. What an irony! Your own people hate you and you stare at them doing nothing to prevent that.

You have joined the IMF against your people's acquiescence. You have so introduced a new dictatorship upon your people's shoulders and allowed the bankers and the monarchs of the EU to enslave them both economically and politically.

They pay their government's mistakes heavily and you made foreign people hate them for something they are not responsible for. What a shame! Police is taking advantage of its powers and attacks people who demonstrate in order for justice to be done.

They demonstrate against you but you do not want their voices to be heard. You deprive them from their right of freedom of expression and of their right to live. Your arbitrary actions must be punished.

By signing the ACTA bill you are going to deprive your people from further freedom and you are pushing them one step towards oppression. You ignored our warnings and now WE ARE IN CHARGE!
