ICELAND. No news from the Icelandic Revolution?

In Iceland, the people have made the government resign, the primary banks have been nationalized, it was decided to not pay the debt that these created with Great Britain and Holland due to their bad financial politics and a public assembly has been created to rewrite the constitution. And all of this in a peaceful way. A whole revolution against the powers that have created the current global crisis. This is why there hasn't been any publicity during the last two years: What would happen if the rest of the EU citizens took this as an example? What would happen if the US citizens took this as an example..

Top Economists: Iceland Did It Right … And Everyone Else Is Doing It Wrong

“What Iceland did was right. It would have been wrong to burden future generations with the mistakes of the financial system.” -Joe Stiglitz, Nobel prize winning economist

“What [Iceland's recovery] demonstrated was the … case for letting creditors of private banks gone wild eat the losses.” -Paul Krugman, Nobel prize winning economist

Icelandic Revolution - News from Iceland - Che Guevara

This is a summary of the facts:
  • 2008. The main bank of the country is nationalized.
  • The Krona, the currency of Iceland devaluates and the stock market stops. The country is in bankruptcy.
  • 2008. The citizens protest in front of parliament and manage to get new elections that make the resignation of the prime minister and his whole government.
  • The country is in bad economic situation.
  • A law proposes paying back the debt to Great Britain and Holland through the payment of 3,500 million euros, which will be paid by the people of Iceland monthly during the next 15 years, with a 5.5% interest.
  • 2010. The people go out in the streets and demand a referendum. In January 2010 the president denies the approval and announces a popular meeting.
  • In March the referendum and the denial of payment is voted in by 93%. Meanwhile the government has initiated an investigation to bring to justice those responsible for the crisis, and many high level executives and bankers are arrested. The Interpol dictates an order that make all the implicated parties leave the country.

In this crisis an assembly is elected to rewrite a new Constitution which can include the lessons learned from this, and which will substitute the current one (a copy of the Danish Constitution).
25 citizens are chosen, with no political affiliation, out of the 522 candidates. For candidacy all that was needed was to be an adult and have the support of 30 people. The constitutional assembly starts in February of 2011 to present the ‘carta magna’ from the recommendations given by the different assemblies happening throughout the country. It must be approved by the current Parliament and by the one constituted through the next legislative elections.

So in summary of the Icelandic revolution:
  1. Resignation of the whole government.
  2. Nationalization of the bank.
  3. Referendum so that the people can decide over the economic decisions.
  4. Incarcerating the responsible parties.
  5. Rewriting of the constitution by its people.
This move is what got Julius Ceasar killed in ancient Rome. He reduced the mortgage debt of the population by 50%. This would be a viable solution to the problem. Bank shareholders and holders of mortgage debt instruments would suffer, so your life insurance policy and retirement savings might become worthless, but your house would be clear title. This is awesome. It shows when the people DO STAND UP they have more power and win against the corrupt bankers and politicians of a country. Iceland is forgiving and erasing the mortgage debt of the population. They are putting the bankers and politicians on the "Bench of the Accused." Which means I assume they are putting them on trial for corruption.

Now the rest of people of the world need to start doing the same thing. We all need to stand up and against all the corruption and fraud of politicians that are puppets of the banks and corporations. The government of Iceland has forgiven the mortgage debt for much of its population.

This nation chose a very different way of stopping the crisis from the rest of European countries. It decided to hear the requests of the population and to put politicians and bankers on the bench of the accused three years after their financial excesses would sank one of the most prosperous economies in 2008.

Have we been informed of this through the media? Has any political program in radio or TV commented on this? No! The Icelandic people have been able to show that there is a way to beat the system and has given a democracy lesson to the world!

    2. you sir are correct, we had politicians trying to push it for EVER, but the people have always fought it... we have a bunch of Treaties with the EU and they are constantly trying to push us into it... still we fight, although much of what is reported here is UNTRUE... not 1 person has gone to jail, 1 was charged, but his political party which still holds like 40% of congress not counting the other 40% which is basicly the revolving door, they walk between these to party's the other 20% is what is left trying to right the boat, but his main party who screwed us the most is still in power and is trying everyday to get him off the hook... they keep telling you, look how iceland is Saved, its not quite true yet... we do how ever have a few Real good people fighting them in congress, and we seem to have some majority atm for reform, and some great ideas for our constitution, ultimately i fear it might fail due to the people at play and there untrustworthy associations/past dealings, although i feel they are just as corrupt, because otherwise they would raise more noise about the corruption within all levels of our government... and do something about it, instead they CHOKE OUR COUNTRY to death with an artificial inflation, corporations are Bleeding the people dry and the government has not even mentioned it... (btw our economy or gdp what ever is Better now then it was before the economic crash, but everything costs 4times more, and the salary's are the same... the banks are Calling people giving credit cards out, this is FAR from FIXED, SAME CRIMINAL PEOPLE IN CHARGE OF THE BANKS, THEY QUIT WITH SALARY'S FOR THE NEXT FEW YEARS MILLIONS... and then there buddy freemason got the job, there is no secret here freemasons OWN all of our country, my grandfather was one, they started the a drug ''problem'' here through my grandfather on orders from would be prime minister and master mason, which in turn Vamped up our Police Forces, they been trying to give the police Guns... so when we eventually riot and go for blood, because when we riot there is no where to hide on this island :P (for them that is, last time major riots were downtown, they were holed up in a cabin in the country side, reportedly with illegal firearms, but again the main freemasonic lodge is right behind the main police station in reykjavík it is a prerequisite to get a promotion to join the brotherhood...

  10. Bravo to the people of Iceland for standing up to the banksters and their gangster methods of milking the people for unjustified interest charges and trying to add unjustified debt for generations to come. Its all about who will control the life of the people - the people themselves or the banksters. We hear nothing about your success here in the United States. I can understand why. So it will be up to us, the people, to spread the word. I pray for your continued success and that it spreads around the world. Until we rid our societies of the banksters and their breathen we will have war, poverty and puppets who do their beckon call within our governments.

    1. Thanks for the information, as I'm an Icelander reading it.

A lot of people in Iceland are aware of the fluoride problem, but not the majority of people.

Also the Aspartame fact is well known, I would think. There was an article on it, published in Icelandic mainstream media.

I personally hadn't heard about the Shampoo, and haven't heard anyone talk about it. So I don't know if other Icelandic people know about it. But I would guess some of them do. So thank you for sharing that!

Unfortunately we do have chemtrails over Iceland, sometimes LOTS of them!!! And a big group of people does in fact know about it and notice it, lot's of people keep records and take pictures to prove their points. But the vast majority doesn't believe it to be some kind of a "conspiracy" and just believe them to be trails after a jet or an airplane.

    2. Q: Is sodium laureth sulfate commonly found in shampoos and toothpastes?
A: Shampoos, frequently; toothpastes, occasionally. (It's much more common to find the harsher surfactant sodium lauryl sulfate in toothpastes.)
Q: Is sodium laureth sulfate known to cause cancer?
A: No. The chemical does not appear on any official list of known or suspected carcinogens.
Q: Is sodium laureth sulfate properly abbreviated as "SLS?"
A: No. The correct abbreviation is "SLES." The chain letter confuses this compound with another: sodium lauryl sulfate, which is abbreviated "SLS." The two substances are related, but not the same.
Q: Is sodium laureth sulfate used to scrub garage floors?
      A: No.
Q: What about the other one - sodium lauryl sulfate - is it used to scrub garage floors?
A: No doubt! SLS is a powerful surfactant (wetting agent) and detergent. It is used in both industrial cleaning products and, in lesser concentrations, personal care products.
Q: Is sodium lauryl sulfate commonly found in shampoos and toothpastes?
A: Yes, both. It's also found in shaving creams and other lathering products.
Q: Ah. Well, then, is SLS a known carcinogen?
A: No, it is not on any official list of known or suspected carcinogens. But it is a harsher chemical than SLES, which is why SLES is typically used in baby shampoos instead. Sodium lauryl sulfate is well known to be a skin and eye irritant and can cause dermatitis with prolonged contact in high concentrations. Results of some tests on animal tissues indicate that it's mutagenic - i.e., it may be related to abnormal cell mutations - though the evidence is inconclusive. Even so, scientists familiar with the substance insist it is not dangerous in the concentrations found in personal care products.
Q: Would a manufacturer freely admit to consumers, as claimed in the message, that it knowingly uses a carcinogen in its products "because we need that substance to produce foam?"
      A: Of course not.
Q: Is it true that my chances of getting cancer are "1 out of 3" in the '90s?
A: Yes, with a few qualifications. The problem with stating probabilities in this case is that there's no way to generalize accurately. The reasons are: 1) cancer risks for individuals vary according to a host of factors, including gender, race, habits, and family history; and 2) the likelihood of any individual contracting cancer is also a function of their age. For example, if you're 20 years old, the odds are much greater that you'll contract cancer in your lifetime than they are if you're 50, simply because there's a longer time span involved.

That said, the longer answer is: For an "average person" (that is, someone of no particular age or gender who lives nowhere in particular and inherited no genes from his or her parents), the chances of getting cancer over a lifetime work out to somewhere between 1 in 3 and 1 in 2, at present.
Q: Were the chances of getting cancer in the 1980s "1 out of 8,000?"
A: No, that's absurd. Cancer rates were approximately the same two decades ago as they are now; if anything, they were a bit higher.
Q: Really? Aren't cancer rates rising?
A: No, in the United States they have been falling, though at a fractional rate and there's no telling if that trend will continue.
Q: Is the chain letter a hoax?
A: Most likely. At the very least it contains egregiously inaccurate information. But we can only guess at the motives of whoever launched it.
Q: Where did the misinformation come from?
A: Well, if you're asking who started the chain letter, there's no way of knowing. As to the misinformation itself, it turns out that there are a good many Web pages containing very similar - and in some cases identical - statements. It's a good bet that it all came from the same source at some point in time.

  19. Wherever you have open borders and allow those who are unable to govern themselves to dilute your population with millions of men and women intent on taking from your society, rather than contributing hard work, skills and an acceptance of your cultural norms, you have financial and societal ruin. The one and only answer is to block further immigration from those countries, deport those already here who contribute nothing, and recognize that certain practices, primarily the radical Muslim practices and beliefs, are not compatible with a free society and should be banned from existence. Not tolerated, as they are intent on your enslavement, but banned from existence. To fail to do so would be, and will be, the end of the free world as we know it.

I don't share your opinion that you think you are part of a free world, because since the introduction of the current economic system, with it's governmenttaxes and bankinginterests on one side, and destroying and denying natural resource trade on the other side, it only became less free for the far bigger majority on this planet we all share. This is applicable for you as well. Hope you'll find wisdom on your path instead.

  24. So in effect, Iceland takes on a structural deficit, with a lower credit rating, and devalues their currency, crushing exports in the long-run. The two economists you use as quotations are both pro-trickle down economics. It's scary to think that so many people are cheering this on, and yet the financial sector are looking at this and laughing. This is the problem with the masses - so misinformed and blind to basic economics.
